Prerequisites

Before you begin deploying Fatleon Commerce, you will need to prepare a couple of foundational accounts. If you already have these set up, you can skip straight to the next step.

Account preparation

Before connecting your repository, ensure your accounts are ready:

AccountWhat you needOfficial steps
GitHubA standard personal or organization account is required to host your private repository.Creating an account on GitHub
AWSMake sure you use the standard, full AWS account sign-up path rather than restricted child or restricted sandbox options. Fatleon requires full access to provision Amplify, the database, and authentication services.Sign up for AWS (advanced)

AWS Support also walks through creating and activating an account. If the screens in the video differ from what you see, follow the written guide above.

A quick note on AWS permissions

When you connect AWS Amplify Gen 2 to your GitHub repository in the upcoming steps, Amplify will automatically provision the necessary roles, database, and authentication services (Amazon Cognito) in your account. You do not need to manually configure complex CloudFormation stacks beforehand.

Ready to proceed?

Once your accounts are in place, let's move on to your domain and business email: Domain and email.
